A glimpse of Windows 8
For the future Microsoft have announced that they are focusing on their Windows 7 Phone OS, integrating it with future desktop computers, laptops and tablets. The new user interface has been previewed using a tablet PC, we have only saw it in action using touch and I know that is what it is going to be optimized for. Microsoft’s next big OS titled ‘Windows 8′ will work equity with a mouse and keyboard for those who are using standard computers.
Microsoft have stated with this new OS that “you get to use whatever kind of device you prefer, with peripherals you choose, to run the apps you love.”
What is known about Windows 8 so far is that a lot of the apps will be using HTML5 and standard JavaScript. All of the apps that are going to be used with Windows 8 are full-screen and touch-optimized. With Windows 8 we won’t be just getting Microsoft apps, we will be getting user developed apps just like we do on the iTunes app store. Microsoft is starting a new generation of computing with their new platform. We are going to see a brand new user experience and a future for “touching” with Windows OS.
I have noticed that Microsoft have launched an official Online Store, with what I noticed from this their is going to be a new look to the Windows logo. Also, from the layout of this store you can get a glimpse of the new Windows interface.
